Around the world with Harvey World Travel

When Josh and Dunks finally released me (I was worried they were abducting me!) I was ready to be out of the cold Orange air. Even my tutu was a little chilly. I am highly excited about my new agistment paddock. It is very warm and inviting, AND incredibly interesting. Did you know that there are dairy cows all over the world? I assisted in the planning of trips to Buffalo and Geurnsey, and I was even thinking about a visit to the UK .... rumour has it that the UK may not be so wise, as there is a little disease there which may cause me harm...  Mad Cow, or something. Who would ever think? The HWT girls have suggested that the nice pastures of COQUIMBO may suit me better..... because the airport code is COW. How mootastic!

Cruisin' with Josh & Dunks of Star FM!

After a restful night I was quite surprised to find myself cruisin' the streets of O town during Star FM's 19 minutes of 90's music. Let me tell you, it was music to my bovine ears! The boys have failed, however, to get me up to speed in the public speaking domain.... really not my strength. Had a close enCOWnter as well with one of their give aways - a meat tray!! I am very concerned about what is being cut out for me! I wonder if choCOWlate will help me at this point in time? I am very grateful to Josh and Dunks for trying to find my name...

Goodbye to McCarrons

Well, another day in the office is over, and I have had an absolutely fabulous time! I am, however, very sad to be leaving this lovely home. I am proud to report that, according to the McCarron staff, I am "a good worker, who doesn't question anything, and brightens up everyones day with her cheery manner". What a wonderful experience I have had. I am, indeed, the luckiest cow alive!.... well, in Orange, anyway! I just wish someone could agree on a name for me.

Day two on agistment

Well, another day at the office. Apparently I am extremely beautiful, as some near misses have been witnessed as traffic looks at me in awe! Heard lots of interesting things today - polo ponies and stock horses, especially. Maybe I could be useful on a polo pony farm? Oh - remembering my good looks, maybe not! It was a little concerning this afternoon when the 'livestock' boys came back into town....It got me wondering when would stock not be live? "Deadstock" doesnt sound too good! They also mentioned the store sale, and that I would look great out there next month. Maybe it is  time for me to be mooving on soon. Sweet dreams to you all. I will be dreaming of a grassy paddock - the hard ground is getting to my feet.

The day I was born

I am a labour of love... it took 5 students and 1 teacher over 8 hours bring me into this world. I am unsure how long it took them to prepare for my birth, but I am led to believe it was many additional hours. I was born in the Cattle Pavillion on 1st April, 2010. It was the first day of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.... I have 5 sisters (pictured in the background)
As I said, it took more then 8 hours of 'labour'for me to finally come into the world as the Orange Grammar Dairy Tooth Fairy.....
Aren't I the most beautiful Dairy Tooth Fairy you have ever seen? (or the only one?).... Well, judging day was very stressful as my sisters and I were let loose with the general public. Boy! That was an experience. My wand even got stolen.... in the last hour before judging. Can you imagine how I felt? If I could have cried, I would have. Us Dairy cows are tough though, so I held my nose high and held my breath. Finally, I was announced as the second place getter... I stuck my nose up a little higher just for the crowd. "I am an awesome cow!" I thought!

My first day on agistment

Today, Tuesday 27 April, I completed my very first day on agistment with McCarron and Cullinane stock and station agents in Orange, NSW. After the busy weekend at Orange Show, I was really very grateful to have a change of scenery. I was well looked after and, apparently tomorrow, I will be ready to learn some new skills! I can't wait! I really thought that being beautiful was my only purpose in life! Maybe not?
